At the end of August I went on vacation with my family to Zion National Park, Bryce Canyon National Park, and the Grand Canyon. It was absolutely stunning and being out and hiking was extremely rewarding.

After my vacation I jumped straight into my first semester of college for my senior year. In the past month and a half I have been very busy adjusting to my new home and schedule.

In the past month I have been making a conscious effort to remove unnecessary items in my life. At this point my ability to minimize is almost second nature, but I still find myself struggling with some of those sentimental items. I have been meditating every day, which I believe has really helped me with the transition back to school and managing my course load.

Interestingly enough I have been focusing on simplifying my diet to be more plant based, and although I am not fully vegan yet I do hope to be in the near future. In addition to my diet I have also been committed to working out on a consistent basis both weight lifting, biking, and a weekly yoga class I take at my school’s gym.  I have been really loving the yoga class, it really helps me make it through and look forward to the week.

I think that about sums up the last couple weeks. I hope your weeks have been full of growth as well and I look forward to chatting with you on a more regular basis.
